Katie was born and raised in the tropical paradise of South Florida before relocating to the North Georgia mountains with her family. Growing up, she escaped into faraway lands, reading anything that made her believe that one day, she, too, would discover she had magical powers (although, the jury is still out on that one). When she's not spending time with her family and chasing waterfalls, she enjoys writing emotionally charged characters with compelling plots that feature high stakes and mysterious love interests.​
